In early October 1966, Paul and Talitha Getty hosted a dinner in my honor at their sumptuous Roman apartment.
Among the invited guests were Romina Power and her mother, the notorious Hollywood femme fatale Linda Christian, known for being the first Bond Girl.
Romina sat next to me, and we were instantly enchanted with one another. It was a classic instance of love at first sight.
