Tannhäuser abruptly awoke, still entwined within the embrace of his serpentine lover, to find that someone, whom at first he couldn’t see, was standing above them, shining the light of an ancient lantern.
With a stab of guilty horror, he realized that it was Venus herself.
Her unsmiling expression seemed quite stern as, without uttering a single word, she turned away. Her long silk gown rustled as she slowly crossed the strange unknown chamber he now found himself in.
Finally finding his voice, he desperately cried out:
VENUS!!!
