Tannhäuser, stung by Leo’s disbelief and no longer caring to escape the consequences of his actions, decided to prove his assertion by taking him back to the deplorable scene of the crime and he cried out:

“Let me go back and show you!”

Leo replied sarcastically:

“Where do you want to take me? Do you propose to kill me too?“

He guffawed:

“Save yourself the effort! To kill anyone here is not only forbidden, but moreover, it is quite impossible to do so!“
