An Excerpt From My Memoirs
It was 6:24 p.m. on a Tuesday in Switzerland when I entered the world.
The sun was in Libra, and Venus, the Goddess of Love and ruler of Libra, was to have the greatest influence on my life.
True to the almost gypsy-like mobility that has characterized the lives of nearly every member of my family, I was moved to Fribourg within days of my birth. It is in Fribourg that I was solemnly baptized in the cathedral by the bishop, christened Stanislas Jean-Chrétien Adam Robert. Marguerite Caetani, Princess Bassiano, and Duchess of Sermonetta was my godmother, while the famous graphic artist Cassandre was my godfather.
